Diego Torres was born in Habana , Cuba in 1970, graduated from the Academy of Fine Art San Alejandro in 1996. Torres approaches landscapes in a different way; he prefers to capture and synthesize the essential details, those that help him piece together a story. For this painter, landscapes are a pretext for leaving behind a commentary that goes way beyond the sensual representation of a natural scene.
